Maybe you tackle cold weather boredom by opting for home entertainment, or perhaps you prevent cabin fever by going out on the town. You may be surprised to find the City Market is an entertainment hub for either category in which you find yourself!
Silver Bells in the City is happening on Friday, November 17th and we at the market have our own special family-friendly activities planned for the night. The night before and on the 28th, The Waterfront Bar and Grill is hosting Open Mic Night for singers/songwriters, poets, storytellers, and more. Both the Market and the Waterfront Bar and Grill have more events planned for December, including the return of Winter Solstice, and a children’s toy fundraiser at the bar and grill. The Waterfront recently installed Blade 5 dartboards with Vizion 360 degree light rings, making their dart board area the coolest in town. Get in on the action by joining their dart league for the new year!
For those cozy nights in, Capital Loop Gifts is offering comfy clothes, blankets, and several activities to choose from. Take advantage of this week’s 20% off sale on 550 piece Michigan puzzles – fun to do in peaceful solitude or with the whole family! Or curl up with one of their Michigan blankets, pillows, and a Michigan book. The gift shop’s literature varies from Spartan sports to Michigan wildlife, and even a coloring book. Prices range from only $7 to $21.99. While you’re there, ask about their card games and euchre items!
