Free Children’s Educational Concert

Movie Night at the Market

February 25 @ 6:00 pm - 8:30 pm

Bring the kids to see Zootopia for FREE on Saturday, February 25th at 6 pm! Popcorn will be available for sale, as well as other snacks and beverages. Empty sippy cups are permitted. Chairs will be provided, feel free to bring your own bean bag, blanket, or chair. Seating is first come, first served and is limited to the first 50 people.

Read Across America: Dr. Seuss’ Birthday!

The Lansing City Market and Capital Area District Libraries are participating in the National Education Association's Read Across America program by hosting an event during which children can enjoy a reading of a Dr. Seuss book, a Dr. Seuss craft, birthday cake, and coloring. This event is free!

Lansing Symphony Orchestra: Family Symphony Series

March 5 @ 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Members of the Lansing Symphony Orchestra will present a short concert for kids, followed by a related craft. This month's theme is Reeds, Holes and Keys. Guy Yehuda of LSO will explore how the reeds, holes, and keys all work together to make a clarinet sing. Guy will demonstrate how this little woodwind produces a great sound. Sponsored by Case Credit Union and Capital Region Community Foundation. All ages are welcome.

River Town Adventures Clean Up Kick Off

Help clean up Downtown to celebrate Earth Day! We will focus on cleaning the grounds of the Lansing City Market, the River Trail north to Oakland Ave, and the River Trail south to Kalamazoo St. River Town Adventures will also have kayaks and canoes ready for folks to clean the river through the Downtown area.
