Halloween at the Market

Bring your family and friends to the Lansing City Market’s FREE Halloween party! There will be music for dancing, trick-or-treating all 3 hours, a kid-friendly costume contest, and more to come! Costume contest categories: --Birth to 2 year olds --3-6 year olds --6-12 year olds --13-17 year olds --Adults 18+ Winners will be announced at 11:30 am! Arrive early, so judges will have time to see your costume!

Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead)

"Dearly Departed" is an exhibit of beautiful and unique Day of the Dead Ofrendas, commemorations honoring persons who are deceased. Come and enjoy the Memorials for Bonnie Bucqueroux, Emma Teneyuca, Rufino Tamayo, Prince and others created by local artists/residents. Visitors are encouraged to bring a photo or other memento of a departed loved one for the Community Ofrenda. Sugar skull decorating and face painting will also be offered. The opening ceremony starts at 10:15 a.m. on Saturday, October 29, 2016.…

River Town Adventures Clean Up Kick Off

Help clean up Downtown to celebrate Earth Day! We will focus on cleaning the grounds of the Lansing City Market, the River Trail north to Oakland Ave, and the River Trail south to Kalamazoo St. River Town Adventures will also have kayaks and canoes ready for folks to clean the river through the Downtown area.
